What TangleKite Is

TangleKite reads the chat in your Twitch channel, groups similar messages, and shows them on an overlay you add to your stream. It is free during the beta.

The Beta

TangleKite is in beta. New accounts join a waiting list, and TangleKite chooses which accounts to approve. TangleKite may have interruptions, during the beta and after it, and your overlay can stop updating or go offline without warning. Features can change or be removed, and the beta can end.

Your Account

Age. You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian to use TangleKite.

Your sign-in. Use a real email address and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Your Twitch connection. Connect only your own Twitch account.

Your overlay URL. Anyone with your overlay URL can open your overlay. Keep it private, and make a new one from your dashboard if it is shared by mistake.

Using TangleKite

You agree not to:

• break the law, or Twitch's terms or community guidelines, while using TangleKite;
• try to get into another person's account or overlay, or into any part of TangleKite you have not been given access to;
• overload or disrupt TangleKite, or test it for security weaknesses without permission;
• copy, resell or rent TangleKite, or use automated tools to pull data from it.

Your Stream and Your Chat

Chat belongs to the people who write it. You give TangleKite permission to receive the chat in your channel and use it to run your overlay, as the Privacy Policy describes.

Groups and their labels are made automatically, partly by AI services. They can be wrong, and they can repeat words from chat that you would not choose to show.

TangleKite makes a best effort to hide messages that contain words on a short blocked list, and to remove messages from your overlay when your moderators delete them on Twitch. It does not moderate your chat. You are responsible for your stream, for moderating your chat, and for what your overlay shows.

Twitch

TangleKite is not made, endorsed or sponsored by Twitch. Your use of Twitch is covered by Twitch's own terms. If Twitch changes or limits its service, TangleKite may stop working for you. You can remove TangleKite's access at any time in your Twitch settings, under Connections.

Ending Your Use

You can stop using TangleKite at any time, and delete your account from the Account page. TangleKite can suspend or close your account, or remove you from the beta, at any time, for example if you break these terms. Your information is then handled as the Privacy Policy describes.

TangleKite's Rights

TangleKite's name, logo, design and software belong to Tangle Kite LLC. While these terms apply, you may use TangleKite for your own streams. If you send ideas or feedback, TangleKite may use them without owing you anything.

No Warranty

TangleKite is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. There is no promise that TangleKite will be accurate, available, or free of errors.

Limit of Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Tangle Kite LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, viewers or data, that come from your use of TangleKite. This is true whatever the legal reason for the claim, including contract, negligence or any other tort, and even if Tangle Kite LLC was told the damage was possible.

Tangle Kite LLC is also not liable for damage that comes from chat content, from other users, from outages or lost overlays, or from third-party services that TangleKite relies on, such as Twitch and TangleKite's AI and hosting providers. The total liability of Tangle Kite LLC and its owners, employees and contractors for all claims about TangleKite combined is limited to US $10. That is one total, not US $10 per claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.

Changes to These Terms

If these terms change, the new version is posted on this page with a new date. Using TangleKite after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute is heard in the state or federal courts in Spokane County, Washington, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
